Window Tinting

Pro Window Tinting Melbourne

We have 23 years of combined experience in the window tinting industry here at Ultimate Window Tinting. We use the latest up-to-date window films and techniques. The techniques include borderless edges on all windows that roll up and down using the  shaved-edge method, and one-piece rear windows; therefore, there is no cutting on the rear defrosters.

Our films will block 99% of the UV rays and will help protect your car’s interior from fading. Our films will also help protect your skin from the damaging, cancer-causing UV rays. Several of our films are approved by the Skin Cancer Foundation.

Along with protection from the sun, window film helps keep shattering glass intact, instead of turning into injury causing projectiles in an accident. Window tint also deters thieves from stealing valuables from inside your vehicle. Besides improving the look of any vehicle, window film keeps your car up to 30% cooler during the summer, and adds protection from harsh glare. This further increases comfort and safety of the driver and passengers.

The following darkness levels are available: 5%, 15%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 50%, 70%, and 80%. These numbers represent the amount of light transmittance through the film. Some shades are not available in all film lines.

HOW LONG WILL WINDOW TINTING TAKE?
These times are approximate. We will make every effort to stay within these parameters; however, we will not compromise quality to complete a job faster. We have built our reputation on quality, not quantity!

  1.        1. Pair of front roll-down windows: 1-1.5 hours
  2.        2. 2-door coupe: 2-3 hours
  3.        3. 4-door sedan: 3-4 hours
  4.        4. Mini-van or SUV: 3-5 hours
  5.        5. Trucks: 2-4 hours (depending on the cab style)

DO I NEED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?
Yes. Occasionally we are able to take walk-ins, however, we do recommend an appointment (appointments will always be first priority).

CAN I ROLL MY WINDOWS DOWN AFTER WINDOW TINTING?
Your windows need to remain up for a period of 3 to 5 days after installation during the summer, or 1 to 2 weeks after installation during winter months when the temperature is below 40 degrees. Our installers use water during installation, which causes the film’s adhesive to not be as tacky. The film needs time to dry and fully cure before the windows can be lowered. If the windows are rolled down during the curing process, the window’s bottom seal can peel the film off of the glass or push air bubbles up into the film.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY TINTED WINDOWS?
We recommend Sprayway Glass Cleaner and a soft cotton cloth or paper towels. Definitely DO NOT clean the interior of your glass (which is where the film goes) with any type of cleaner containing ammonia. The films have a clear scratch-resistant coating that ammonia will eat away and discolor, causing it to flake and peel away from the rest of the film. Any cleaners that are vinegar, alcohol, or soap-based are fine for use.

COMMERCIAL TINT

At Ultimate Window Tinting we have 48 years of combined installer experience. When it comes to your buildings, you don’t have to bring them to us… we offer free on-site estimates. From a small storefront, to large commercial buildings, our expertise will get the job done right.

Vista window film is a micro-thin composition of polyester and metalized coatings bonded by adhesives. If a window or glass door should break, the shattered glass tends to be contained within the Vista sheath, since Vista forms a protective “shield” across your windows.

The film reduces 99.9% of the harmful UV rays, rejects up to 79% of solar heat, and reduces up to 87% of sun glare. This will reduce fading of furniture, woods, carpets, and valuables that are subject to fading. Along with improving comfort and offering significant energy savings, it is guaranteed safe for dual pane windows.

Ultimate Tint is backedby the industry’s best manufacturer warranty – 15 year commercial warranty guaranteed not to bubble, peel, blister, crack, fade, change color, or delaminate.

Vista is used and recommended by interior designers, and is also recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation. Solar control films, such as Vista, should not be confused with the automotive black tinting film.

Colors can range from virtually invisible, to reflective silver, frost, bronze, or other colors. Vista is proud to be affiliated with and recommended by the following industry organizations: BOMA International, AIMCAL, International Window Film Association, The Skin Cancer Foundation, Protecting People First Foundation, and ASID Industry Partner.
