Pomponazzi 880XX
The hard 9h top and softer 7h base layer offer improved swirl resistance over regular 9h coatings. Compared to standard ceramic coatings, Pomponazzi forms a relatively thick combined film which greatly reduces surface hazing and improves gloss.
Resistant to chemicals from ph2 to ph13, so when you clean your car, even the harshest wash chemicals will not dull your gloss. And on top of that, contaminants like bird droppings are easy to remove.
Pomponazzi 880XX is unaffected by extreme heat changes, even from -40 to +250 degrees Celsius and offers exceptional UV protection which prevents premature dulling.
Pomponazzi 880X
Pomponazzi 880X or single X offers 80% of 880XX performance, but if applied incorrectly can be machine polished from your vehicle’s paintwork. This is unlike Pomponazzi 880XX that if applied incorrectly can only be removed by using 1,500 grit sand paper.
When it comes to adding gloss, resisting swirls, contaminant and dirt repellency, Pomponazzi are the pinnacle in paint protection.

Our inspiration was the technology behind the fabrication of huge yet flawless parabolic mirrors, without which the world’s largest astronomical telescopes could not produce sharp images from deep space.
And our nano-engineered deep gloss surface coatings look great for the long term yet require only minimal cleaning and upkeep.
But great lab science is not enough
All Pomponazzi products are driven by Design since 2002. But that’s actually not enough.
With backgrounds in the physical sciences and decades in the performance coatings industry, we know just how often great performance in ideal lab conditions translates to simply poor or mediocre performance in the real world.
For that reason we test all Pomponazzi products extensively, both in the lab and across the globe. In all weathers and in extreme climates. We test ourselves, and we ask our global partners, resellers and independent labs to do the same.
Lab tests include the paint and coatings industry standard simulated UV and weather exposure in QUV chambers.
But in our opinion these are about as far from real world conditions as it’s possible to get, where extreme temperatures, humidity and pollution combined with local habits are as much a factor in how surfaces endure over time as simple UV exposure.
So we go much further, with real world testing in both accelerated and real time, often in extreme climates and conditions, such as those found deep in the Arizona desert or on a downtown roof top in highly polluted areas.

- Full paintwork decontamination, removes all embedded contaminants inc. iron fillings)
- IPA Wipe-down – ensuring all oils/polish/wax are removed for proper bonding.
- Air Dry followed by Hand dried Chamois (Lint Free)
- Followed by hand dried “deep pile” micro fibre terry towels
- Paint Protection Applied using Pomponazzi 880X
- Glass Coatings with 9H Hardness

Just wanted to say, Daniel spent hours washing and prepping my BMW 525Gt, then masked it, and removed all the swirl marks before he Opticoated, its been 2 months now, and the rain and general water doesn’t stick anymore! Highly recommended…
